Before the next game.

Small habits for choosing, starting and leaving an embedded game.

01 / Read the verb

A game description can tell you whether you will draw a path, sort a colour or steer a vehicle. Use that action to choose a starting point; a category is a broad label, not a promise of the same rules.

For example, Landing Hero describes drawing flight paths, while Truck Space 2 describes parking a truck. Both involve a route, but they ask for different decisions.

02 / Check the control line

The control line is the information supplied with the listing. A general label such as Mouse/Touch may not explain every action. Read the instructions inside the game before making the first move.

Some games require keys, dragging or precise timing. Device support belongs to the individual game and can differ from the site navigation.

03 / Start deliberately

The picture is a local preview. Opening a game page does not load the external game; Play does. Once it starts, the embedded game may make network requests, display advertisements or ask for its own preferences.

Stop removes the frame. Restart creates a new one, so unsaved progress may be lost. Fullscreen changes the space available to the player; it does not change a game’s controls.

04 / Keep an exit in reach

A blank frame does not tell us whether a game has finished loading or has run into an external problem. Use the status line, give it time, then try Restart. If nothing changes, Stop and return to the collection.
